RSPCA Week is our largest annual national fundraising and profile-raising week.
Thank you to all those who took part in RSPCA Week 2008. The week is supported by Tesco and our branches were once again in Tesco stores throughout England and Wales collecting donations of pet food and cash - both of which are vital for accommodating, caring for and rehoming abused and abandoned animals.
How much do we raise?
In 2006, between them, our branches raised £242,636 in donations of pet food and cash donations. In 2007, this figure rose to £270,000, and we are hoping to have raised even more in 2008.
RSPCA Week 2009
Next year will be the 15th RSPCA Week and will run from 27 April to 3 May 2009. Please check back here mid-March 2009 for more information on RSPCA Week events and how to get involved.
Key facts and figures
The RSPCA is made up of a national Society and more than 170 local branches across England and Wales, each of which are independently registered charities and are responsible for raising money to fund local animal welfare initiatives.
The RSPCA's inspectors and animal collection officers (ACOs) are the frontline men and women who work around the clock championing animal welfare. They, along with the inspectors' training school and special operations unit, make up the Society's inspectorate.
Read about the RSPCA's rescue figures for 2007 and why your help, particularly during RSPCA Week, is so important.
The RSPCA receives no government funding.
Please help us to continue our life-saving work by making a regular or one-off donation online now. Or you can donate over the phone on 0300 123 0346.
